AWSurveys - An Inside Out Story

In my previous blog article I have discussed only those things which you will find even in their FAQ section but there are a few untold truths about this site . First you will not get paid the amount that your balance shows . They deduct a sum of 25$ , citing processing fees , from your earnings per payment request you make . This is ok but I am not really highlighting this point but the fact that to get a payment you will need to have atleast 30-40 $ more in your account ie , if you want to request 75 $ , you must have 75 + 40 $ in your account . Otherwise after a few days you will find that themoney has returned to your account and it is much less than what you had when requested payout . They say that they deduct the incentive paid for those referrals who didn't do all the surveys or carried out some fraudulent activities . From thereon you have to reach 75 $ again to request payment and ofcourse if you are wise enough you will get a few more into your account this time before you request payment . Another thing is that they will sometimes notify you that your account has been flagged for inactivity or fraudulent activities and you will not get paid . Obiously this is horrible , so frustrating when they tell you that after all your hard work you are not going to be paid . It has happened to me too . Good thing to do here will be to open a new account after you get over your emotions and start it all over again . 8 out of 10 times you will get paid unless you are very unlucky .
Also please note that they too have a 'Contact Us' section in their site which is supposd to answer your queries and redress but never ever waste your time writing to them because they will never listen or reply . If they have decided not to pay you for whatever reasons it may be , that is it they will have the last word and your case is not eligible for a reconsideration .
Inspite of all these I believe AW$urvey is by a long shot better than other money making sites available and definitely it is not a scam because you do have more than 50% chance of getting paid and when you get paid you will get quite a good sum . While there are others which never pays , I have lost some amount money in those sites as well . But Aw$urveys is different in the fact that it has paid me too .

PTC or Paid To Click sites are a result of an innovative business idea aimed at promoting business for the advertisers that also opened the doors for people to earn some bucks right from their home for viewing the advertisements . The requirements for using these sites are pretty basic , the same one would need to use the Internet - a computer and an internet (but u need to own these products) . As a member you would need to register at these sites and login with your user id and password every time you would need to use the service .
The members click ads available in the Surf ads section and get paid for it . Another way members can make money from these sites is by referring . Members are given unique referral link and anyone who registers at the site through his link , is placed under that member's downline . Downline of a member are the members referred by that member and he is entitled to receive a percentage of the earninrgs made by each of his downline (Upline is just the opposite , your upline is the member who referred you ) . Most sites these days allows you to see your downline (also called direct referrals) and also to keep track of their activity that is whether they are clicking or not . Mind you that you won't earn anything from your downline if they don't click ads . Another feature that many sites have is the Rent Referrals feature . This allows you to rent referrals (called Rented referrals ) for a certain period of time for a certain amount of money and during this period for all the clicks they make you will get a percentage of share . The good thing is you can rent refferals from your account balance itself , you don't have to pay anything from your pocket but not sites have this feature .
Every site has a certain payout limit , ie you can only request your payment after you reach that amount . The payment usually takes 1 sec to a year depending upon the site's policies . The payment is usually made via a payment processor like paypal , alertpay , etc and you can withdraw the money from there which doesnt take much time .
You can also advertise at the site by buying ads and banners . You can use your account balance to advertise too . There's another way of investing money at these sites that is by buying premium membership which will entitle you to some extra benefits over the standard members like - greater incentive for clicking ads , greater return from a referral click , quicker payments etc . The membership is either lifetime or for a certain period of time . Few sites offers more than one premium membership plans each differing in the benefits they offer and of course the price for it .
Over the years the adminstrators of these sites have implemented new security features to restrict the members from misusing the site . Many people tends to resort to unfair means like creating multiple accounts from the same computer , using software programs (robots) to click ads , etc which consequently led to heavy losses to the advertisers and these sites and ultimately saw it to go bally up . Even today these issues are far from being under control though there are many scripts and programs available in the market today ( like programs to track ip addresses , identifying software programs or robots , etc ) and most sites are equipped with them . When users are caught carrying out such malpractices they are often banned from the site or they are denied of their payments .
Misuse by users are not the only reason why a site might be shut down . Sometimes the owner of the site does it intentionally to rob the legitimate users of their payments . There are many sites which exist forever but they never pay their users while there are others which start off quite well but eventually turn into a scam . Infact this is an uncontrolled crime practiced by many . These sites are blacklisted and anybody willing to join any ptc site should cross check if that site is black listed or not .

Few Tips for people new to PTC :

Try to be honest because if you are caught in any unscrupulous activity you will not get paid at all and in that case you cant blame the admin too . So it is better to play safe and not to be too greedy .
Check if the site you are joining is blacklisted or not . It is always better to join a site after checking out the proofs of payment of the existing users but it's not always feasible . If you are a little adventurous then you may not bother too much about all this , just check the site out yourself as you have nothing to lose except time and effort .
All sites have a Forum where you can post your queries . Avoid joining such sites which does not have a forum .
Avoid working in sites whose admins are not active in the forums .
Read the FAQ thoroughly , every site has one , to acquaint yourself with the policies and rules . That way you can get a general impression about the site and figure out what it claims or does . Also go through the posts at forums . Even you can try a google search before joining a site to know about a site and read user reviews .
It is better not to join sites which has too high payouts say 100$ or more because either you will never reach or take too long a time reach that amount and even after you reach there chances are there that you not get paid . There are exceptions though . But it is better to join sites with low payouts because you will reach the payout quicker and you won't have to wait too long to know if it is a scam .
The sites which gives too many ads per day usually dont pay (4-8 ads are normal ) . Again there are exceptions .
Prefer sites which has an instant payment feature that is you will receive your payments the moment you request it . This is because you will know the moment you request payment whether the site is a scam or not .
Never invest a penny from your pocket unless you are absolutely sure that the site is a genuine one .
Lastly there's another little thing you can try out to check if a site is a scam or not . Check out how much the site is paying you per ad you click n per referral click . Say e.g., it is .01, .005 respectively . Add these to up and multiply by 1000 , you will get 15 in this case . Find out how much does it cost to buy 1000 ad impressions , this what an advertiser will pay the site for every 1000 ads . If this amount is greater than 15 then the site is sustainable , it can survive because what it offers to give out to it's members is less than what it is earning from it's advertisers per 1000 ads and it is relatively safe to join such a site . It will be very help for you if do this little math before you start working . You will find all the informations you need to do the math in the site itself . These caculations wont give a concrete idea of the site's revenue but it can surely indicate whether enevtually the site is going to go belly up or not .(For your information I must tell you that it is not the sole source of income for the sites.They also earn for the banners and various links you will find in the site but you dont get for clicking them . They also make money when buy rented referrals and memberships .)

This is only a general perception . There's no guarrantee that a site which paid you today is going to pay you tomorrow and forever but you can make a fair idea of the site and its credibility if you do a little search on these (like how long the site has been functioning , number of members , amount of money paid , etc and you will get all these informations in the internet itself ) and thereby you can save youself from being scammed and wasting your time and effort . The online jobs are really a boon of modern day society but it is not free from the underlying menace and PTC sites are no exceptions .

PTSU or Paid to sign up sites are quite similar to PTC or Paid to Click sites but as the name suggests they provide another means of making money that is by signing up for other websites . PTSU sites like PTC sites also pay for viewing ads but for each ad view they pay one hundredth of a cent . Though they will give lots of ads I still don't feel viewing ads at these sites is worth my time when i can earn one cent per ad view from any trusted PTC site . They usually give one to five cents for signing up for a website as the advertiser's referral . The money will be credited to your account after the advertiser's approval . But here is a problem only signing up is not enough , you have to remain active in the sites for at least 5-10 days depending on the advertiser's requirement . Even then you may not be credited because the advertiser may decline you if he feels he has got the maximum number of referrals he needed or if he feels he you should not be credited for whatever reasons it may be . But most often you will be credited if you have signed up , submitted your correct username of that site and ofcourse remained active for sometime at the site .

There may be cases as I mentioned that you may not get the money even after you meet all the requirements but once the advertiser approves your payment it is credited to your account , you will get your payment when you reach the payout limit . The PTSU sites are very sustainable and the admins of these sites always pay their members . I have hardly heard of any PTSU site which is a scam . Few good PTSU sites are - incentria , clicksia , kazariangpt , etc . Even though they pay , I never consider joining them because it takes a lot of time to reach the payout limit,which usually is not much . Besides I have to work too hard for a cent . When I first started doing online jobs , I worked in a few PTSU sites as well and they all paid me but now I prefer working in some other sites which offers more money for my time and effort .

One can reach the payout in a single day with 2-3 hours of participation in the site . For that you have to create a thread . Follow the steps to do the same :

Click the Forum link , located at the left middle corner of the page in the Quick Links section and also in the centre of the page under the Communication Interaction of the Destroy Debt Control Panel .
Here you will find 5 main categories and their corresponding sub categories, click any subcategory and you will find a orange color button labeled 'New Thread' . Click this button to create a new thread . MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE RIGHT CATEGORY FOR YOUR DISCUSSION , ie you cannot create a discussion about what you had for breakfast in the BUDGET or any other unrelated section . You can start such a discussion as above in the 'Offtopic' section only . The thing is that the right topic should in the right category and you have to decide and chose the category which matches your topic the closest .
Now a pop up window opens with a title field for the title of your topic and a text area for your comments . After you are done click the 'Post' button .

F.How to send a personal message to any member ?

Visit the member's profile whom you want to send a message by clicking his profile picture or username.
On the top left hand corner of the profile you will find a link labeled '[PM]' .
Click the link to send your message .

If you want to message the Moderator for any reason , then visit the Moderator's profile and follow the above instructions . The Moderartor's user name is 'Jeremy' , you will find many posts and threads made by him as he is very active there , so it won't be hard for you to find and get in touch with him . I bet you will get the reply to your questions too for the same reasons .

G.How to blog in Destroy Debt ?

On the left side of your ACCOUNT , in the Interact Panel , click Manage Blog .
In the menu that opens click Blog Settings .
In the Blog Name text bar , type the name of the blog , whatever you think should be the name of the blog . You can leave the other options blank . Now hit the Save Button .
Now in the Manage Blog menu click Compose . This should open a text area for you to write your blog .
After you are finished writing check the Publish option and click the Post button below it . This will set your blog up . Don't think you should have any problem . If want to edit your post later on , go to your ACCOUNT , click My Blogs and then you see all your blogs , click the Blog you want to edit . This should open the blog in Edit mode . After you are done editing hit the Post button .

You may need to edit html if you want to format your blog for that click the html tab at the bottom of the text area in the edit mode . It is advisable not to use "<" or ">" as these denote html tags and may cause issues while viewing .

Such communities not only enriches the knowledge but also throws open a door to their users for earning some money . Many such sites are dedicated to a particular subject like debt , laptop , money , politics , etc . The bulk of the discussions carried out in the site dirrectly or indirectly addresses the issues . There are others though which are not dedicated to any particular subject as such but they do have , like all , predefined categories to discuss about the related subjects . Such communities helps to interact and allows sharing of knowledge between people living in different parts of the world .

These sites are usually revenue sharing sites . They share a part of the revenue that the site s generate with its users for particiapting in the site . Now one may ask that where do they get the revenue from ? and why would anyone want share that ? The answer to these questions are pretty simple , they get their revenue from the advertisers for displaying their ads . These sites are usually filled with ads . The answer to the second question is actually another question , just think why would an advertiser advertise in these site ? The reason is traffic - internet traffic , ie the users of the site . More the number of users of the site , more they visit the site , more is the chance for the advertiser to reach out to the masses and sell his product . Now why would people visit a site if it has nothing in store for them ? Hence this idea of revenue sharing . I hope you have got the point . For the same reasons these sites usually do not turn out to be scams because in that case new users will be reluctant to join it if they hear that the site didn't pay its members and hence it will become impossible for the site to grow its network and eventually the site would cease to exist . So just to stay in the market they have to pay their users .

These sites are not free from abuse by its users so they had to implement strict rules to fight with the abusers . People used the forum to say "hi" and "hello" to the other members just to get the money from the post . Some would create irrelevent discussions in unrelated categories . Still some others would post the same content again and again . Many people took resort to such unfair means to make more money from these site . As a result soon these sites were overwhelmed by the number of fake posts and almost struggled to pay its members because of these abuses . Hence the only option left to them was to go stricter with the site rules which is quite fair too .

As I have mentioned that these sites are usually not scams for their own good , but in case you are a little unconvinced about any such site , just do a google search with keywords as "site_name + scam" where site_name is the name of the site about which you want to know . Go through the results you will know whether it is a scam or not . This technique actually applies to any site , you can search about any site in this way to know if it is a scam or not . The bottom line is if you work sincerely and honestly in these sites , you will get your payments . In this context I want to put a disclaimer here that in our real world there are always exceptions so don't get after me if any PTP site has scammed you . Whatever I have written is from my own experience and till now I haven't yet found a scam PTP site . But you may apply the above mentioned technique before you join and I think you will be fine .

The moment you do that the payee will receive an invitation to signup at his email address and accept the payment . Similarly you may receive your payment even if you do not have a Paypal account for an email id .

You can withdraw your account balance in Paypal in three ways :

Go to PayPal.com or click the banner in the blog .

Then you will see three options on the same page - Personal , Premier and Business . (Chose the one according to your need . A very brief discussion on the matter has been made above .)
Fill out the form and click submit . (NOTE : The email address you enter here is your Paypal login id .)
In the next page you will see that it is asking for your credit/debit card details . If you have one you can always link it to your Paypal account but it is not mandatory . If you want to skip the step then click the button labelled - Go to my Account just below the Link My Credit Card options .

(NOTE : If you don't link your credit card , your account will have an unverified status though there is no harm in it but you will not be able to carryout a monthly transaction of a sum more than $500 using this account until you get it verified .)

Now open your email and confirm the registration .

That is it your Paypal account is ready for use .

B>Adding a Bank Account .

When you login to your account you will find yourself under the "My Account" tab . You will many sub-tabs unedr the "My Account" tabs - 'Overview','Add Funds','Withdraw','History','Resolution Center' and 'Profile' .
Place(no need to click) your mouse over the 'Profile' sub tab under "My Account" .
A dropdown menu open . Now click 'Add/Edit Bank Account' .
A page with a form to add your bank account opens . (NOTE : You don't add a bank account seperately you will be automatically redirected to this page when you will try to Withdraw(By clicking the 'Withdraw' sub-tab under the "My Account" tab) your account balance .
Now fill out the form . (NOTE : You have the option to add someone's else's Bank Account , if you don't have have one but the surname has to be same as yours .)
Note that it asks for an IFCS number of the Bank . There are two ways to get it .
i>You can go to your Bank and ask for their IFCS number .
ii>Click the help(a small Question mark sign in a blue box) and a popup window opens with the instructions which says .
a>Go to http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/neft.aspx .
b>Click 'List of NEFT enabled bank branches' to get full list of NEFT enabled bank along with IFSC code.
c>Download the file .
d>Open it with MS Excel . Locate your Bank and the branch and note the corresponding IFCS number .
[NOTE : Be very careful while adding your bank becuase if your bounces for any reason a sum of 250 INR will be deducted from your account balance .]
Click continue and follow the rest of the instructions .

Now you are done with linking your bank account with Paypal and you can transfer your account balance at any time to your bank now . The transaction time is usually less than a week .

Paypal has lots of other feature and discussion of all is not possible here . I have only tried to shed light on the basic ones ,the primary services like withdrawing and sending money , which any person who plans to avail of will probably find helpful . Once you begin to use the site more often you will get acquainted with all its features and services quite easily .

The more reviews you write and more rating you get for them , the more you will earn . So make a lot of friends but it is wise not to ask them to rate your reviews as this goes against Ciao's Terms of Service(TOS) . Refer to the help section for more information . You inform the member by posting on his/her wall something like "I 've read n rated your reviews , please take your time and go through my reviews , I have got some improtant informations there .
